Maison Longchamp deploys Footbridge

LONGCHAMP deploys FOOTBRIDGE to accelerate the eco-design of its collections. LONGCHAMP uses the FOOTBRIDGE service offering to measure the environmental impact of its models. This collaboration, which began in 2023, initially focused on the ready-to-wear and footwear collections.

At the same time, the FOOTBRIDGE team, with the support and business expertise of LONGCHAMP’s teams, launched a project to calculate the environmental impact of leather goods by developing a life-cycle analysis methodology specific to leather products.

This LCA leather goods project reflects the desire of LONGCHAMP’s management to gain a better understanding of the environmental issues involved in the manufacture of their products, so as to be able to effectively guide their designs alongside the industry’s key players.

Longchamp is renowned for the quality of its products, which are distributed worldwide. The family-owned company, which celebrated its 75th anniversary, has been pursuing a long-term, innovative strategy for many years, offering a repair service. The Longchamp team gives a new lease of life to products that are several decades old.

Proof of its commitment, whether for its fabric bags or its ready-to-wear collections, Longchamp chooses certified organic or recycled materials.
