At the same time, a methodological manual is due to be finalized in the coming months. This notice, the subject of discussions with Ademe and the CGDD, will set out the operational details of environmental labelling.<\/p>\n<p>Sorry, but from now on we&#8217;ll have to talk about <strong>environmental costs. France, for its part, plans to launch its voluntary environmental labelling scheme in the 2nd quarter of 2025. It is due to become mandatory in 2026.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-274870 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/footbridge-impact.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Timeline-Affichage-Environnemental.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"950\" height=\"534\"><\/p>\n<p>In 2027, the <a href=\"https:\/\/footbridge-impact.com\/en\/espr-and-dpp-the-new-deal\/\">DPP (Digital Product Passport)<\/a> will come into force in the European Union.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Textile_environmental_cost_versus_PEFCR_Footwear_Apparel\"><\/span>Textile environmental cost versus PEFCR Footwear &amp; Apparel<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The French government&#8217;s aim is to take a leading position on the subject of environmental textile labelling, and to improve the PEFCR (European environmental labelling scheme). France will serve as a &#8220;laboratory&#8221; for this textile display.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Summary_of_environmental_cost_calculation\"><\/span>Summary of environmental cost calculation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Calculate lifecycle analysis for each color model based on 16 factors<\/li>\n<li>Apply a sustainability coefficient<\/li>\n<li>Obtain a score in impact points<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Certain data are essential for carrying out an LCA (level 1):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Product typology<\/li>\n<li>Product mass<\/li>\n<li>Product composition (% and type of material)<\/li>\n<li>Top three countries according to AGEC law<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This calculation leads to an approximate result, without any mastery of the value chain. It is, however, the only criteria taken into account for the environmental cost in its initial phase.<\/p>\n<p>Taking into account specific supply chain data, thanks to traceability and product specificities, leads to a more accurate result and enhances the value of eco-design work. VAT)<\/li>\n<li>If large company: whether or not the brand has a ReFashion-certified repair service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Traceability<\/strong> (20% of the coefficient)\n<ul>\n<li>If traceability is displayed directly on the product&#8217;s web page (AGEC)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Non-physical durability coefficient value: max: 1.45 -&gt; min: 0.67<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span>Conclusion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>2025 will mark the official launch of environmental labelling in France.
